ABOUT US:

Every object has a story, and also tells a story. Closet Space Vintage is a collection of designed objects (specifically wear-able pieces) that have a unique draw or presence. We believe that designed physical objects only increase in value over time. They are story tellers of the physical world they occupy. They are markers of values and conversations.

We believe by putting these special objects back in circulation we can not only minimize our collative consumption and production footprint, but can also share stories cross-generationally. Mass-produced clothing continues to have detrimental effects not only on our planet and carbon footprint, but also our personal experience of our own possessions. Closet Space Vintage believes that the objects we own should be special and cherished. This starts here, with me, the owner of Closet Space Vintage, and with own my personal collection that I want to pass along. These are items I saw something special in — a texture, a color, a silhouette, or a combination of all three. Sometimes it’s a statement detail that references fashions past, or maybe its future.

I love designed objects because they are thoughtful and considered. They speak as much about who designed them as they do about who wears them. Ultimately, they give us an envelope with which to live our lives. I hope you find something special here that speaks personally to you.

ABOUT OUR PRE-OWNED ITEMS:

Some general information about our inventory:

• Most items have been pre-owned and therefore are not in new condition or have their original tags (unless otherwise noted), however, every item listed has been stored to preserve its lifecycle. This includes regular cleaning and sewing or hardware repairs. Each item is either in good or extremely good condition. A good number of items are new and never been worn. Check product description for specifics.

• Any noticeable signs of wear beyond normal are noted and documented in its own item description. Please evaluate carefully before purchasing if this is an imperfection you can live with.

• All Clothing has been dry-cleaned prior to listing.

• All Shoes and Jewelry has been professionally cleaned prior to listing.

• Shoes do not have their original boxes but will arrive in our custom-painted or collaged shoe boxes for your individual storage.

• We also include flat measurements in the case that a garments original tag is damaged or missing, or simply for convenience. Please cross-reference these flat measurements with items of your own before purchasing. Typically, flat measurements can be doubled to correspond to body circumference measurements, i.e. a bust flat measurement of 18” corresponds to 36” measurement around.

• For jewelry, the type of metal/finish may not be known, since these are pre-owned and acquired through various sources over time.

PROCESSING, SHIPPING, RETURNS:

Processing time is 1-3 days. All packages are sent with tracking number.

Ships from Los Angeles, California, USA. Depending on the destination shipping takes 7-25 days.

Returns and exchanges are not accepted except in the case that an item differs from the photos and description/condition stated. Items are extensively documented, including imperfections. If you have any questions or an issue we will be happy to assist you, so please contact us.

Returns that fall under the exception written above are accepted within 10 days. Past that time frame we can no longer accept returns.

Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
